Can a Soul Proprietor have one business and start a different second business?

My wife has a business but she has an idea for another business. What will it take for her to start the second business? Will she have to go through a whole other process or can she just start it? Say she has one store on ebay then she starts another store on ebay that is completely different.

    Absolutely. She can have as many businesses as she wants. It may not be the best idea to have too many business because she will likely not run any of them very well, but I think 2 is doable.

    That is no problem but things can get tricky for tax reasons as you expand
